A rare opportunity to experience the playing and teaching of British flutist William Bennett! One of the foremost musical artists performing today, William Bennett has raised the profile of the flute to that of an instrument capable of a wide range of tonal colours, dynamics, and expression, giving it the depth, dignity, and grandeur of the voice or a string instrument. He studied in London with Geoffrey Gilbert, and in France with Jean-Pierre Rampal and Marcel Moyse. He has been principal flute in many orchestras including the London Symphony, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the English Chamber Orchestra.

Please join the Aurea Silva Trio on October 26th at 8pm at Kerrytown Concert House in Ann Arbor for an eclectic evening of chamber music! Our concert on October 26 presents music that transcends several musical eras and nationalities, ranging from the operatic Donizetti to the spirited Chick Corea, and closes with an brooding, esoteric masterwork of Harald Genzmer. Additionally, the evening will feature the world premiere of “Variations,” from University of Michigan alumnus Ezra Donner, a solo performance by bassoonist Gareth Thomas, and Brandy Hudelson performing the Michigan premiere of Greg Pattillo’s “Three Beats for Beatbox Flute”. Don’t miss it!

Tickets are $10. Go to kerrytownconcerthouse.com to purchase tickets in advance.
